Design Team 2008

I'm actually really excited about it. Our first meeting is either April 1st or 2nd and I'll have more details at that point. However, I'm youngest of an 8 member team, and I can't wait to have the opportunity to showcase my work. Plus, the $10/month credit to the store is awesome. It could get dangerous.

Bahamas Scrapbook

Because I'm constantly being harassed by my M and SIL, here is somthing new for your viewing pleasure. I'm about 1/4 of the way done the book, but figured I'd give a little teaser.

In this layout, the picture on the right of what H likes to call the "Mustard Drill," can be lifted up to find the map of the boat.

For this layout, I took a lei apart and sewed them to the matting. There are a few pink beads in the center to accent each.

A little difficult to see, but under each photo is a rub-on. Just some not-so-parallel lines that I thought added a little dimension.

These pictures were taken with a disposable underwater camera, so the quality isn't that great. To play up the diffused colors in the pictures, I created a very muted background. To get an idea of the size, the layout on the right is composed of nine 2" pictures of fishies.

The embellishments on the bottom of the right page are 3 dimensional.

My mess / Baby Book

This is what my creative mess looks like:

I wanted to let you know that I've also been hard at work crafting. The baby book seen below is for a coworker/friend. H and I are unsure when to give it to S. Before the baby is born...or after. What do you think?

In this page, the light blue comes out on both pages (see image below). This way, S can put qty 4 pictures of baby on one layout!

Happy Valentine's Day! And yes, a total surprise :)

From reading my mother and SIL's blogspots, I can clearly see that A) this is going to be a neat forum for us to share and 2) my SIL has crafting ADD. However, I love her dearly anyway.
